I have a bachelor in social communication, journalism, and two master degrees; one in health and fitness management from American University, Washington DC, and another one in health and ecology from University of Otago. I have experience as a press secretariat, public relations officer, interviewer, writer, journalist, exercise instructor, personal trainer, health promoter and researcher.

During the last couple years I have been developing tailored health promotion programs to companies and institutions. That included creating personilized health risk appraisals, applying and analyzing their results, and presenting an overall health/wellbeing diagnosis in order to suggest actions and directions for health improvement.

In New Zealand I got involved with developing, implementing and analizing surveys’ regarding public open spaces (such as parks and walkways) and their health and wellbeing benefits to individuals and local communities. I also wrote a thesis and got involved with research that is being my latest passion. That ‘outdoor’ perspective of health and wellbeing made me incorporate the environmental factor of wellbeing into my approaches.

I learned that individual and social wellness are very related and they depend on one another to some extention and that if we learn how to better manage our wellness we can help shape up the community health and therefore, have a heathier society. Moreover, that is not possible to experiment the fully concept of wellbeing without nature.

I believe nature is a key component for health promotion, giving us experiences that can be lifechanging and rich in many aspects of health and wellness.

I am more than happy to use this space to share my experiences, learnings and thoughts for the health and wellness of all.
